Since being nominated for a BAFTA in 2003 and working as a commercials director Yoav had been busy with Factor Films.
Factor Films has recently completed their first feature film, Reuniting The Rubins, written, directed and produced by Yoav. The film is co-produced by Jonathan Weissler of Balagan Films and stars Timothy Spall, Rhona Mitra, James Callis, Hue O’Conor, Blake Harrison and Honor Blackman.
With a diverse slate of projects Factor Films aims to create quality commercial product of high drama and high class entertainment whether that be through tense thrillers such as "Prey" and "City of Refuge", thoughtful yet scary horror films such as "The Abattoir", challenging Sci-fi such as "Simeon's Cage" or family entertainment such as "The Last Christmas Tree" and "Missing Mrs Time".
The company's next feature is set to be "Fragmental" - an exciting psychological thriller developed in association with Screen Yorkshire with a view to production in 2010.
Previous to establishing Factor Films in 2004, Yoav has produced numerous short films and commercials, including three quirky off the wall dramas that he directed himself. Some of his early work can be seen at yoav.factorfilms.co.uk
He studied "Producing" whilst at the Northern Film School in Leeds, UK. After film school Yoav held several University Lecturing positions teaching both the technical and creative sides of Film & Television Production, Advertising and Media Marketing. But his desire lay in production and has since worked in the professional world of Film, Television & Advertising working his way quickly through running and assistant directing to Location and Production Managing commercials and TV drama for clients such as the BBC, Channel Four and YTV.
Yoav is currently taking a break from commercials having directed spots for clients such as Microsoft X-box, Coventry Building Society, Mars and Pringles.
